Instead of complaining that things are lengthy, complex or overwhelming, turn it into an adventure. Luckily, this DIY fixation is in keeping with the spirit of 2016, which is a total roll-up-your-sleeves and get s- done kinda year! Digging into the process of everything is what 2016 wants for us. ![]() There’s something soothing about visually expressing the cosmic concepts, brushing watercolors onto toothy textured paper while we reflect on what’s happening overhead. We get hands-on with this planner every year, from laying out the pages to drawing and painting some of the illustrations. Font snobbery, color palettes, typographic styles-we’re all about it. We’re both graduates of the University of Michigan School of Art & Design, with our earliest roots in magazine publishing.
