![]() ![]() We have specifically designed our inline speed boots to fit tight rather than loose, as it is much easier to make a boot expand rather than contract. ![]() The Parfaits are wider than those two and feel much more comfortable width-wise.All Vanilla speed boots are easily molded for increased comfort and performance. The Boardwalks are slightly narrow for me (I have a bunionette on my right foot that acts up after long sessions) and Riedell 135s which are even narrower than the Boardwalks. For reference, I also wear a 7 in Boardwalks and 135s. Size/Fit: I wear a size 8 women's shoe and fit the Parfaits in size 7. Just be prepared for a stiff boot and some breaking in time! They're fun out of the box (of course with a quick loosening of the nuts and trucks) and are just a joy to look at. Overall, I'd say if your budget is <$200, the Parfaits are a great place to start. Personally, I prefer the more flexible style of suede boot (Boardwalk/135s) for my style of skating (rhythm/jam/dance at the rink) and will stick with those, but maybe with some breaking in, I'll love the Parfaits, too :) I don't have any Moxis to compare them to, but the Parfaits seem like they'd be similar to the Beach Bunnies. I have some Sure-Grip Boardwalks and Riedell 135s and the Parfaits are much stiffer. The boot is on the stiffer side, but offers lots of ankle support. I'm actually a little jealous that she has aluminum plates and I don't! Overall: I got these for my mom for Mother's Day and they're pretty impressive for a $159 roller skate! The colors are super cute and the parts/hardware seem to be of great quality. ![]() Violation of this rule may result in a warning and/or ban at mods' discretion.
